Negombo, a charming coastal city in Sri Lanka, where we starting our Ultimate Sri Lanka tour is renowned for its pristine beaches and vibrant cultural tapestry. Situated just north of Colombo, Negombo boasts a rich history influenced by Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial periods, blending seamlessly with traditional Sinhalese and Tamil culture. Day 2

Negombo

Habarana

Traveling from Negombo to Habarana with a private Chauffeur is a scenic journey, covering approximately 160 kilometers in about 4 hours. Depart from Negombo, enjoying the lush countryside and vibrant local scenes En route. Habarana is a crucial stop, serving as a gateway to Sri Lanka's cultural triangle, with easy access to the ancient Sigiriya rock fortress, Dambulla Golden Cave temple, Pidurangala and Minneriya National Park, known for its elephant gatherings. Habarana gives you a blend of rich historical and natural experiences.

Habarana

After breakfast, embark on a scenic journey from Habarana to Polonnaruwa, a historic city in Sri Lanka. The drive takes about an hour and half, passing through lush greenery and rural landscapes and rice paddies. Upon arrival, explore ancient ruins, temples, and statues, immersing yourself in the rich cultural heritage. Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, is a treasure trove of ancient ruins and cultural heritage. Habarana

The early morning light and misty surroundings enhances the scenic beauty, making the climb a more pleasant and memorable experience.

Day 6

Kandy

Travel to Kandy. On the way to Kandy visit Dambulla Golden Cave Temple. The Dambulla Golden Cave Temple is important to visit due to its historical, cultural, and artistic significance. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it houses well-preserved Buddhist murals and statues dating back to the 1st century BCE. Travelling from Hikkaduwa to Colombo takes 3 hours. After visit Colombo, do a small city tour by mini-Coach. It offers a mix of modern and colonial charm. Visit landmarks like Independence Square, Lotus tower and the National Museum. Stroll through bustling Pettah Market and scenic Galle Face Green. Explore trendy cafes, boutiques, and vibrant street art, capturing the essence of Sri Lanka's commercial capital.
