Anuradhapura

The road journey from Negombo to Anuradhapura spans approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, traversing Sri Lanka's scenic landscapes and rural villages. Anuradhapura, an ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage site, beckons with its impressive ruins, ancient stupas, and rich historical significance.
Ruvanveli Seya, a magnificent stupa in Anuradhapura, stands as a testament to ancient Sri Lankan architecture and Buddhist devotion. Habarana

The 90-kilometer route typically takes about 3 hours, passing through verdant forests and paddy fields. This drive showcases Sri Lanka's natural beauty and provides glimpses of local life, making it a pleasant and picturesque trip.
Afternoon visit Minneriya National Park or Pidurangala Rock (Optional Activities). Visiting Minneriya National Park in the afternoon is particularly rewarding because this is the best time to witness "The Gathering," where hundreds of elephants converge around the Minneriya Tank to drink, bathe, and socialize.
